Sky high above the Colorado River. Our next stop before heading home was good old Los Angeles, California. Our sweet friends put us up for our visit but of course we had to set out on an adventure within our adventure :) This time was for the diamond in the desert...Salvation Mountain.
Passing through Joshua Tree was amazing. We made it for golden hour and got to take some photos together before the sun went down. The color of the light changing on the rocks and trees was so beautiful, something we'd never seen before.
The transition from day to night.
We set up camp in Joshua Tree, made some S'mores and called it a night. We were both woken up by the bright moon lighting up our van. No complaints about that though!
At first light, we headed back on the road towards our next stop.
After another 2 hours, we finally made it. Salvation Mountain.
We were the only ones there that morning, making it all that much more magical.
I still can't believe we made it there together. Thank you, Leonard Knight for making this place and spreading love to the world. Love truly is universal.
We really did runaway this summer...
After all those hours flying and driving, being back at Whyley and Keko's house was such a treat. I fell in love with the California sun and the vibrant colors and shadows it painted on all the buildings.
Sunny LA, it was truly a pleasure ♡
